Once the status check is complete, be sure to sign and date the report. If you disagree with your landlord on any part of the inspection, there should be room on the form to list your concerns. If you do not sign the report because you do not agree with it, it can be difficult to prove that you participated in the inspection. Your landlord must provide you with a copy of the completed move-in inspection report within seven days of the inspection and, within 15 days of the inspection, a copy of the extract status report. Keep your copies in a safe place and take photos for extra protection. See TRAC letter template, copy of state inspection report. 12 (1) A lessor shall ensure that a lessor lease has the necessary means to inspect the rental unit and to provide a copy of the completed condition assessment report within 7 days after the inspection.
